FS 21 did run the (only) alternative Salvage / Rescue Van to FS 3 for some time. Late 70's & 80's.

Their history of appliances is quite interesting, some abridged details are :

1930 & 1938 Car 9 Hotchkiss Hose Carriage / Pump.

1940 Car 11 Albion H/C Pump.

1948 & 1960 Car 112 Morris H/C Pump.

1964 Car 149 Fargo H/C Pump.

1970 Car 161 International AS160 H/C Pump. & Car 30 Morris NVS H/C Pump (Spare)

1980 Car 95 International ABM160 Salvage Van & Car 245 International Acco 1710A H/C Pump.

1985 Car 116 International Acco 1810B Salvage / Rescue Van & Car 245 as above.

1992 Car 283 & Car 245 both Mk 2 Pumpers. (Rescue at FS 27 Nunawading)

I have seen a photo of a Salvage Van outside FS 21 & will post it if I can find it.

Perhaps Barb might have a photo in her large collection. (welcome to the group Barb)
